Welcome to the school
“Basics and practical applications of TGA and DSC: from materials to biosystems.”
organized by the AICAT-Young Scientist Group (Gruppo AICAT-Giovani).

The school will be held in Milan from 14 to 15 December 2026, structured as follows:

-Monday, 14 December (Afternoon): Theoretical lessons on the fundamentals of thermal analysis and calorimetry, held by experts in the field.
-Tuesday, 15 December (Morning): A hands-on practical session demonstrating the potential of DSC and TGA, with a special focus on data analysis.

The invited speakers, experts in the field of thermal analysis and calorimetry, are listed below:

- Prof. Celia Duce University of Pisa, Italy
- Prof. Saša Papuga University of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The practical session will be held in the TA Instruments laboratories, hosted at the Waters S.p.A. offices.
