The conference MASSA 2026 is a yearly meeting devoted to mass spectrometry and its applications in different fields. The conference aims to offer the opportunity to meet and discuss the state-of-the-art, instrumentation, methodology, innovation and applications of mass spectrometry in different fields. Further, the conference will be a good opportunity to link industrial needs with academic knowledge and to promote networking, discussion and cooperation among scientists coming from public and private institutions, universities, industries, control and research institutes.

This year MASSA 2025 will be held in Chieti and will cover a broad range of topics, including

Nutraceutical & Natural Complexes MS: Advanced mass spectrometry applied to food science, nutraceuticals, and natural matrices; proteomics and metabolomics; spice authentication and traceability; sample preparation; fermentation processes; nanoparticle characterization; high-resolution MS methodology.
Omics: Spatial multi-omics applied to biological samples, including complex tissues, single-cell analysis, and organoids
Health & Pharma: Mass spectrometry driving pharmaceutical development and clinico-biomedical research; hybrid immunocapture techniques; MS/MS for biomarker discovery; profiling of bioactive compounds; and the development of innovative analytical tools.
MS Application & Environment: methodologies and innovation in environmental processes; sample extraction and characterization; PFAS and relative polluttants; water filtration and analysis; complex matrix analyses.
Bioinformatics & MS Data Analysis Tools: advanced computational solutions for mass spectrometry; development and application of bioinformatic tools designed to transform raw MS data into actionable biological insights.
Non covalent molecular interactions: In-depth study of supramolecular systems; characterization of non-covalent complexes and assemblies within both chemical and biological frameworks.
