The Società Chimica Italiana extends its warmest congratulations to our member Luisa De Cola, from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Milan, on being awarded the Karl Ziegler – Giulio Natta Lectureship 2025, granted by the German Chemical Society (GDCh).

Established in 1993 through a joint initiative of the GDCh and the Italian Chemical Society, the Lectureship honors outstanding contributions to the field of chemistry and fosters scientific collaboration between Italy and Germany. It stands among the most prestigious distinctions, recognizing researchers whose work exemplifies excellence and international impact.

Throughout 2026, Professor De Cola will deliver a series of lectures at major German universities, showcasing the excellence of Italian chemical research and further strengthening the bonds between the Italian and German scientific communities.
