The Società Chimica Italiana (Italian Chemical Society), together with its Emilia-Romagna Section, participated as a Content Partner in Labotec 2026, an event dedicated to laboratory technologies and scientific innovation, held on 27–28 October at Fiere di Parma.

The SCI contributed to the scientific programme with two conferences, both held on 27 October. The first, organised by the Emilia-Romagna Section and entitled “Cosmeceuticals: Chemistry from Cosmetics to Nutraceuticals”, explored the connections between academic research and industry in the development of bioactive ingredients, new functional substances and innovative solutions for health, well-being and personal care.

The second conference, organised by the national SCI, “Beyond Known Molecules: New Drugs and Frontiers in Analysis”, focused on the applications of forensic chemistry, with particular attention to new psychoactive substances, analytical techniques and the needs of forensic medicine.

The Società Chimica Italiana was also present with its own exhibition stand, providing a space for networking and the exchange of knowledge among researchers, universities, industry representatives and professionals in the field.
