The President of the Società Chimica Italiana (Italian Chemical Society), Prof. Luigi Mondello, attended the Annual Public Assembly of Federchimica, held in Milan on 26 October 2026 under the title "From Molecule to Product”.

The event brought together representatives of Italian institutions and the chemical industry. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola addressed the participants with welcome messages. Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani also attended the event.

President Mondello’s participation reflects the Società Chimica Italiana’s commitment to fostering dialogue between research, industry and institutions, while highlighting the strategic role of chemistry in driving innovation and strengthening Italy’s competitiveness.
